Update: Message delivery should be back to normal (including duplicate

the full headers). We'll continue to monitor the system in case any issues
arise. (03/30/09 @ 3:36 pm PDT/10:36 pm GMT)
Over the past week we know that some of you have experienced problems with your
groups (both on the web and with email delivery). These issues were/are the
result of a recent data center move, which we blogged about on the 19th.
As part of this move, we had also upgraded to higher performance hardware, but
the upgrade didn't work out as planned. The team has been working to resolve
these issues and stabilize your experience, and we're cautiously optimistic that
we'll have Yahoo! Groups back to normal before the weekend.
That said, we'll definitely still be monitoring the system closely, and we
encourage you to keep checking this blog for the latest updates if you
experience further problems.
In addition, we've definitely learned some things from this incident (and from
the feedback folks have been sharing about how we could better communicate), and
we'll blog about the specific steps we're planning to take in the area of better
communication around system issues next week.
We know-I know -that this past week or so has been rough, and we apologize for
all the inconvenience the problems have caused you and your groups. We can and
will do better in the future.

PICK THE TOP FIVE FINISHERS IN
EITHER THE 2008 DAYTONA 200
OR THE DAYTONA SUPERBIKE RACE
-------------------------------------------------
March is only a few weeks away. I won't post any lists of factory riders
this year. You are on your own to figure out who is entering.
So you can do one of three things:
1.) List your picks for the top five finishers for the Daytona 200 FX race,
2.) List your picks for the top five finishers for the Daytona Superbike
race, or
3.) List your picks for the top five finishers in BOTH races.
Bear with me, this is all very unscientific.
Send your picks to me at the Rest Home (resthome at verizon dot net ) or post
them where you read this. Entries close at 6:00 PM Tuesday, March 4th.

Have you heard about 2XTREEM Motorcycle TV? A new motorcycle TV show
premiers this Saturday on Channel 55 [The Tube] at 4:30 PM.
2Xtreem, a television show dedicated to motorcycle riders, racers and
performance enthusiasts, breaks the mold on motorcycle programming
and does it with style. Covering Off-Road, SuperMotard and Road
racing along with features about performance and style modifications,
2XTREEM's content is unlike any other motorcycle show. 2Xtreem
episodes include powersports news, product testing, and motorcycle
event coverage, making every episode fresh and unique. Joe Capicotti
with his son Chase and April Hodges, a women's motocross champion,
host 2XTREEM Motorcycle TV. The show's sponsors include YAMAHA,
SUNOCO and PROGRESSIVE Insurance.
In the episodes that start Saturday, the 2XTREEM crew build a JOURNEY
Tribute bike [RM450 Suzuki] with guest Jason Bonham. Jason is an
expert motocrosser and son of rock legend John Bonham of Led
Zepplin.
Check it out at 2XTREEM.com

Best way to support them is to simply put a check in an envelope and
mail it to
Community Center of St Bernard
1107 LeBeau St
Arabi LA 70032
Some of these network for good things are OK, but in some cases
everybody in between takes a cut, including the banks when you pay with
plastic.
Drop a check in the mail and every cent goes to the charity.

They are participating in America's Giving Challenge and have established the

"Film shows 10mls amateur race, 10mls sidecar race and 100mls professional race
featuring Teddy Carroll and - among many other stars - Gene Walker on 8 valve
Indian.
Film states this was at Daytona, which is a mistake because there are no records
of a large board track in Florida. Most probably this was filmed at Sheepshead
Bay, New York 2 mile board track on October 11th, 1919. Any help identifying
location and date appreciated."
