"The reply got flagged and removed. Could you give us the cliff notes?"
Somebody pointed out that since the bank still had a lien on the bike that it
wasn't the seller's bike to sell. They further pointed out that anybody who
bought the bike could be charged with possession of stolen property.
The seller lashed back with an expletive drenched tirade. ("You are SO F***IN'
STUPID.......") He assured everyone that they would receive a "notarized bill of
sale" with the bike. He said that he has been riding the bike for two years,
it's still registered under the name of the dude who took out the bank loan, he
only changed the address so that the registration is mailed to him. He says that
since the bank has the address where the bike is located, the fact that they
haven't come by to pick it up proves that it's O.K. to sell it.
Only the latest of a series of threads on the WERA BBS asking if a bike for sale
without a title is a safe bet!

"Does anyone have any info on this book ? I spoke to Eric and Ben at Mid-Ohio on
rainy Sunday and didn't have the balls to bring it up."
=====================================
One of the race dads I know up in Loudon is pretty good friends with them.
(Don't worry, I verified that with the brothers down in Daytona.) He asked them
about the book, and their reply was to read it, they said it was fairly
interesting. As a matter of fact, I was told that if I could come up with a
copy, THEY WOULD AUTOGRAPH IT FOR ME! Bottom line: Tedious book that doesn't
deliver on the blurbs being posted that Ben and Eric don't take serious enough
to be upset about.
Julz' link to the RRW post is also good info. Sean Clark of WERA says the book
is an agonizing read.
BTW, Julz, your favorite male chauvinist pig at Loudon had a nasty crash at the
season opener, shattering his rotator cup into three pieces. Pretty much ended
his club racing career. He sold his Duc and everything. I had to put him under
moderation because he got really off-the-wall with his oxycontin laced posts.
I've got a half a dozen women and an irate husband waiting to kick his ass if he
returns to the paddock. He says he's going to borrow a bike to help him keep his
two digit number, but we're already musing about who to give it to next year. :
-)
Karma's a bitch, eh?

The KillaCycle - World's Fastest Electric Motorcycle
Straddling a 619-pound motorcycle, Scotty Pollacheck tucks in his knees
and lowers his head as he awaits the green light. When he revs the
engine, there's no roar. The bike moves so fast that within seconds all
that's visible is a faint red taillight in the distance.

Pascal on a VR1000? What's the skinny on that, Tammy? (I still have a ball of
the rubber he left on the tarmac doing that burnout with the H-D at Loudon!)

"In an attempt to be funny, it is easy to throw yourself off a cliff. I
crossed the line with some of the posts with Michele, and she has been
a good sport. Although my posts were not meant to be disrespectful,
they could easily be taken that way. As you all know, I also laugh at
myself, and give you guys plenty of ammunition to blast me back. It
isn't fun if your hurting someone on here, with that said let's get
back to the nonsense. Sincerely, TM"

Yep, I just privately emailed him to tell him to knock it off. I passed along a
Sexual Harassment Lawsuit threat from a high placed lurker. If that doesn't shut
him up, then I'll just have to configure a muzzle for him. looks like he's
going to weasel out of the challenge. I thank you for your promised support. May
I suggest you find something more local to you to contribute to.
