Jos always said 3 weeks, 3 months, 3 years is when you look at and assess your youngsters and to try not to pay attention to what happens between those times. Personally, I have known many late developers to be ugly ducklings up to about four or five years and then somehow they grow together and become beautiful. I think that is especially true if they are large in size. If he was a beautiful baby, and he was, he will be again. I have put my Arabian mare on Spiller's Youngstock. It is the first time I have used it so we will see how it works. I will keep you posted. Tracy

It was cancelled due to the EHV outbreak. I wonder if they will try to
reschedule.

Our group has been quiet so I thought I'd ask a question.
How do you feed your yearlings? type of feed (hay and grain), ration
size, supplements (if any), frequency, etc.
My colt is doing well I suppose, I just wish he didn't look like a
gangly, hairry, goof ball,... but then, isn't that normal for a
yearling? (He's 8 months old today) Should I just- NOT -look at him
right now? He does look better... with a winter blanket ON! HA! :)
All UglyDuckling/Beautiful Swan stories... encouraged.

Lisa, Hope MaryLou was able to help as I have no idea how to! Hope to see you at the Christmas Party at MaSu's this Thursday for SSHA.Candy

Are you trying to download from the SSHA website or the Yahoo group? I don’t have time now (on my way to a clinic) but the link must be faulty. I need to know if either site’s link works. Dan linked it on the SSHA website yesterday.

This is a pdf file of the newsletter. The hard copy will be mailed

only business we have to cover is the election of officers. The slate
is: Candy Rich-Pres., Pat Sullivan-Vice Pres., Sandy Werner-Treas.,
Mary Lou Winn-Sec. . Please join us with a dish to pass,a gag/funny
gift that you have penned a line or two or poem about, and a good time

hearing witty gift prose. Candy

SSHA Members,
I need to figure out how to send emails through this venue so that
members will get them.
The Nov. meeting is at MaSu's at 7pm. Please bring a dish to pass and
positive suggestions.
Lots is going on! A slate of officers will be presented to be voted on
in Dec. Sandy W. and I will manage the two 2007 Breed Shows in Sept.
We could not find an open facility for 2007 so they will be a Pennock
Point in 2007 but we are trying to line up Canterbury for 2008. Sandy
and I will be going to the USDF Convention for a Seminar on
Managing/Running Shows. Dressage and Breed Shows will be covered.
MaryLou will be doing a newsletter again. Thank you, this is a really
big undertaking! The 4 2007 Sport Horse Breeding Champion classes will
be held with the Regional Finals at HITS Post Time. We thank them for
including these classes. Georgia is holding a Qualifier right before
ours and asked that we do these classes later not with our qualifier.
Hope you all will get involved and make this another successful year
for SSHA. Thanks! Candy

What you mean 2 are you and my self the first one who joined this group? is't your idea? if so EXCELENT!! because if you concentrated in the south east with the best centralized horse area in the nation than, yes you can culminate interesting business, yes I like to eat, in that restaurant , but the kitchen at "Hamacher Holsteiners" is pretty good to , I sold Vinny from Sandy and I have Spy going ,Hope he is gone by the end of the month, he makes a good chance, I talk to you later , Jos
Ahhh, just checked the membership list and I see that we are MORE than 2! Welcome!!! Our president, Candy Rich has not joined the group yet. As soon as she gets some dates to me, I will update the events list and calendar.
Upcoming is a Christmas (Holiday) party. When I get more info, I will send it out.
In the meantime... If you are aware of dates of meetings or shows, or have show brags, new photos or anything of interest to our group, please post them. I have opened 5 photo albums for members to upload to.
This will entail some work, but I think it will be wonderful to be able to keep in touch.
BTW, I didn't have all the SSHA members' email addresses. The initial invitations I sent out were to those whose address I did have. So, there are plenty of your friends who don't yet know about this group. Please send them and invitation. I believe you can link to one on the left hand column of the group page.
Welcome to Sunshine Sport Horse Association Yahoo Group! Candy and I
decided that this might be a good way to keep everyone in contact.
The Yahoo Group site offers a place to post photos, a calendar and
events list, a way to do polls, a way to list links to our farm
websites, and probably many other things I have not yet discovered.
Once we have more members on this group, we can send out vital
information through this medium. You can answer your emails and they
will become posts to this site.
The emails can come to you in several ways. You may receive
individual emails, a digest of several posts in one email, or no
emails, which would necessitate that you come to the site to get
updated on important information. Once emails become more frequent, I
suggest choosing the digest form, unless you like lots of emails.
The more info you send me, the more this site will work for you. As
soon as the info is sent to me, I will post meetings, registry
meetings, inspections and shows on the calendar. Keep me informed and
I will keep everyone else informed. This Yahoo group might solve the
AOL problem we are currently having. I know that I am on AOL and my
Yahoo Group emails do make it through their spam control.
Once you join the group, please visit "promote" in the left hand
column to copy HTML code that you can put on your website, inviting
others to join this group with a simple click.
The only "rule" for posting messages to this group is no personal
attacks. Seriously negative postings will get a person censured for a
time. I'm hoping that this will be a source of positive information
and friendship.
Please post news from your farm. Post photos. Let us know how you are
doing at shows. New foals. This is your group to share good news!
Best regards,
Pat Sullivan
