Our meeting will be the 4th Thurs.,Jan.22nd, at MaSu's at7pm. Sandy W.
will be back from USEF Convention where she will be attending a
discussion/class on Shows, Show secretary duties and rules and the
dreaded computer program for entries. She will fill us in and
hopefully clear up enty questions for our Fall Breed Shows. We will be
hosting the Regional Finals this year.
Sally Davenport will be visiting in Feb and will talk on USDF rule
changes and Smart Pac. She would like to see everyone and catch up.

Wishing you all the best for the holidays! Our Dec. meeting was small
but enjoyable. The officers will remain in office as no nominations or
objections were made. We will have a Jan. meeting the 3rd Thurs. at
MaSu's at 7pm. Candy

At 7pm. We will have a short meeting,vote for officers,treas.report
and Breed show update. We should have plenty of time to enjoy each

Our Dec. meeting will be DEC.11th at MaSu's at 7pm. WE will conduct a
little business,(Treas. report,vote officers,and brief update of '09
Breed Shows),and then enjoy each others company. There will NOT be a
gift exchange but please bring a special treat/goodie to share. I have
not heard from anyone wanting to be an officer but it is not to late!
We will vote for last years officers to hold office again unless

SSHA members,
We will not have a Nov. meeting but will have a Dec. meeting. I will
get you the date soon. We will vote for officers at the Dec. meeting
Since no one has expressed an interest this years officers have agreed
do remain for'09 if voted in. Please, if anyone is interested let me
know! Do not be shy we welcome anyone that wants to do this!
There was a mix up with Canterbury and they booked another group for
the third weekend in Sept.'09. After much checking out of venues we
were able to book HITS Post Time for our '09 Sept. Breed Shows. It
will be held where they were during the Dressage Regionals that were
held there.William Solyntjes will judge the Sat. show and the Regional
Final classes on Sunday.Peter Hansen will judge Sunday's show and join
William Solyntjes to judge the Regional Final classes Sunday pm. Sally
Davenport will be the TD for the weekend. Due to rising costs we will
need member support more than ever! I have agreed to manage the shows
and Sandy Werner will be the secretary again to save the club money.
We really hope for everyone's help to live up to SSHA's history of
good breed shows.
It seems early to say but"Happy Holidays" and I hope to see you in
Dec. Candy

SSHA Members,
We will be having a meeting this Thurs. at 7pm at MaSu's. Our Breed
Shows present and future will be discussed. Sandy W. forgot to add one
deposit to the shows spread sheet so we were very worried that we had
lost money. The costs were up this year but we did make some money. We
will be discussing places to hold next years show the 3rd weekend in
Sept. There was a mix up and Canterbury booked that weekend which we
thought they had set aside for us. Instead they booked the same
weekend for us as we had this year which will not work as we will have
the Regional Finals this year.
The other topic for discussion will be officers for next year. We need
a slate to be voted on in Dec. If you have an interest in holding an
office or would like to nominate someone please email or call a member
you know will be attending.
As always I would like to remind everyone that in order to keep having
the Breed Shows we need volunteers. It is one weekend a year of your
time or some time spent helping with pre-show work if you are busy at
the shows.
Hope to see you Thursday, Oct. 16th at 7pm at MaSU'S. Thank you to all
members that worked hard to make this years Breed Shows a success. Candy

Monica and I were both very sorry not to be there to help, but Monica is putting all her energy into healing her fractured cheek and jaw!   We have both heard good news about the excellence of the show as well as the quality of the horses brought by the members!

Please remember to bring ponies to the Breed show as SSHA is giving
out our own award for the High Score Pony each show. We were asked by

Hi everybody. I am new to the group and just wanted to introduce
myself. My name is Amy and I have a small breeding farm in Belleview.
I am about 10 miles south of Ocala. I am very interested in learning
more about sport horses. I want to show my youngsters hunter in hand,
but want to start going to some shows to learn more about it.  I
discovered your web site tonight.  Didn't even know there was a Florida
club, so I am pretty excited about that. I e-mailed somebody and
offered to volunteer at your September show.  I am excited about
meeting new people and learning more about sport horses!  Thanks a lot,

There will not be a July SSHA meeting. The Aug. meeting will be a week
early. The 2nd Thurs. of July,the 14th, we will meet at 7pm at MaSu's.
It is important that you attend as we will discuss and firm up
commitments for our two Breed Shows Sept.6th and 7th!We need workers
and this is the one time a year we count on SSHA members to help.The
Breed classes attached to the Summer Sizzler went well but Carly was
unable to get a Breed Show Judge for Aug. so the Breed classes are
cancelled. Please email or call me or Sandy Werner if you are able to
scribe, score,etc. we are relying on you. Georgia will be having two
qualifier shows and the regional finals the weekend following our
shows. Just incase you all forgot our shows are at Canterbury this
