Vee played for UCONN, and this game is just starting up, so they have a lot of new players; however, everyone there is cool.

It is out by Kennesaw State University.

Is there a game today?  Somewhere?

JR,

I agree with your suggestion to move it to Renfroe & keep the same time.  We play a lot of pick-up soccer there and unless the lacrosse kids are there, no one has ever bothered us.  As you know, you'll never get a consensus on time & place as people come from all over & have different obligations.
Good luck.  I'm out of town but will look for something making the move official as to when & where.  Thanks for organizing this.

Ultimate Heads,

Coming from the far southwest (LaGrange), I would prefer pickup in the same area or further south.

I don't get a chance to get out much but coming from the southside (Stockbridge), I'd love to see the game stay close to Columbia/Decatur or go south.

I think that the game should definitely stay in the neighborhood. I 've been by the park that is close to I-20 and Glenwood av. I think that it may be called Memorial ( not sure) But access is easy as is parking and if the field runs as well as it looks it should be fine and it is never used that I can tell.

I would be interested in playing on Sundays if the games are around 2 p.m.

I games start later than that, then it cuts into people's ability to get back home by around 5 p.m. and get ready for the work week.

Thanks,

Georgia USMD Ultimate Tournament for PKU Research and Awareness

Please join us on May 10, 2008 to support PKU research and awareness!

Phenylketonuria (PKU) is a genetic metabolic disorder. Individuals
with PKU cannot process a part of protein called phenylalanine,
which is present in most foods. Because of a genetic abnormality,
affected individuals lack or have very low levels of an enzyme
(phenylalanine hydroxylase or PAH) that converts phenylalanine to
other substances the body needs. Without treatment, phenylalanine
builds up in the bloodstream and causes brain damage and mental
retardation. The standard treatment consists of a strict diet very
low in phenylalanine and daily consumption of special formula
containing life sustaining nutrition. If the diet is adhered to,
individuals with PKU can grow up with normal intelligence.
Continued research is needed to ease the difficulty of the diet and
improve the quality of life for all individuals living with PKU.

Hi liz/bryan, and welcome to the list,

I'll try to pass along up-to-date information as I have it. Currently, our
plan is to meet at the fields, and if they're not playable, try to decide on
alternatives. I'm not as close to the fields as I used to be, so I can't go
look and see if they've started construction. David Walker told me about a
webpage where I might find info on whether the seminary still has events
(and thus probably not yet closed the fields) but I haven't looked it up
yet. Last week, David had AJ go check and see if we could play. I've
invited Buz and Cliff (who both live close by) and I think Tim is already on
the list. I'm hoping they can help.

Hi Jere,

Welcome to the email list, and to sport of ultimate. There are a number of
former soccer players (and probably a few current ones) at our game who I'm
sure would be happy to help you get started.

This is the week (owing to the start of Daylight Saving Time) that we
typically transition to a later starting time. The official start time is
now 4:30. It's probably worth mentioning that ultimate players aren't
particularly prompt.

I won't be there this week due to a work commitment. I'll be back the
following week, March 16.

Hope you have a good game,

J.R.

Does pickup start at 3:30 PM, being that it's winter, even though the

some good Ultimate weather.

Does pickup start at 3:30 PM, being that it's winter, even though the
AFDC website says 4:30? I hope it's 3:30 PM. This Sunday looks like
some good Ultimate weather.

Hiya "new.bold"

Sorry for the delay in responding. We'd love to have you come out and play.
I'm sure you'll recognize some folks from the Monday game.

Hope to see you out there.
