Well said, Scott. Two weeks ago, with good weather, we had upwards of 25 players. For those of you wondering, we did play last week - recent rain not withstanding - and had 7's for most of a game to 11. In marginal cases like last week, I'll try to remember to post a message advising of weather & field conditions since I live just a few blocks away.
It's threatening pretty bad here right now - no rain, but plenty of thunder. My sense is that this will pass, and we'll have a situation like last week - wet until 4ish, but very playable after that.

The age range is pretty wide - we get some high school age kids out now and then and there's usually a few geezers like myself (40s) too. The majority are probably in the 20-30ish range. The skill level is also pretty wide. We get decent players and play some competetive points, but it's also a low-key game, and we usually don't keep score until a game to 7 or so at the end. If you're a beginner, it's a good place to start and if you're experienced, you can still get in a decent workout.Scott
