Re: Easter Sunday   Message List

Yes, Danny...we typically have played on Easter sunday, often with good
attendence. If numbers were low this year - and I suspect they were - it
was more likely due to the weather, which was brisk & windy. Likewise for
the
following weekend (4/15) which had seen rain for almost 24 straight hours
going into late sunday afternoon, was also probably a washout.

I didn't respond to your post about the 8th because I had other plans, and I
was tied up on the 15th until very close to game time. One of the
advantages to having a list serve like this is the ability to communicate
rapidly with a large group of people, and I've been hopeful that people
might take a few minutes to say if they were going to play, particularly in
the case of marginal weather. I'm on a list for another game where someone
starts a thread in advance of every game - a "hey! let's go throw some disc"
kinda thing; it's very helpful to getting motivated to play.

I'll try to do my part to kick off communication when I can on Sundays, but
if you're likely to show go ahead and post. This could be particularly
useful to a number of players who come from a decent ways away, or people
who might be sitting on the fence.

I didn't get to play last week either - a work commitment prevailed - but
the weather is beautiful today, I'm rested and relaxed, and I've got a few
cold beers I'm gonna throw in my cooler. If you haven't made plans to be
there, I hope you'll consider it. If you've already left - game time is 1/2
hour away - I'll see you out there.

In the SOTG,

J.R.

AGREE JR. It would be great if people could post before the game, during the week. It is definately a motivator and makes it clear that the game is on! Brian ...
