Just a quick reminder - this is the week (in fact, tonight!) of the time change, and with it, we move our game's start time up to 4:00pm. There has been some impetus to try to go to an even earlier time, but let's try this first and see how it works.
For those who may not know, this game goes year 'round, though obviously we get some drop off as the weather gets colder and less forgiving. In the past, we've scheduled additional games around/instead of the holidays, depending on how the days of the week have fallen. If I hear of anything, I'll try to pass it along.
Also, in the "keeping everyone updated" category, our field-mates and occasional sparing partners, Sequence (a mixed, club-league team) acquitted themselves quite well as regionals a few weeks ago. There was some concern that they might not even get out of sectionals, but they did, and were seeded 12th. They exceeded those expectations, going 3-3 on the weekend to finish 9th. Alas, only the top 2 team advance to nationals, so we probably won't seem them much until they start gearing up for Terminus in the spring. I hope you'll all join me in wishing them congratulations on a good season, and welcome them as they join our pick up from time to time.
I have a few items in the lost and found. I've been carrying a Gray "ESPN" (Medium) T for a couple of years, along with a growing collection of discs; feel free to claim them if their yours. I've also been bringing a set of 8 cones that someone left from this game. I'm happy to keep doing it, but I'm not always the most punctual person, so if anyone ever wants to guarantee that they're there and swing by on the way to the field, give me a ring and I'll leave them out for you. (I only live a couple of blocks from the field). My cell is (404) 314-3957.
Finally, I think Seann is looking for a VW Passat key he might have left there. VW keys are usually a metal insert that collapses against a plastic case, and I'm sure that he'd like to have back. Check your belongings.
That's all I have for now. It's beautiful out this time of year, and the conditions last week were just about perfect. If there's not a good showing now, there never will be.
