This is the email list for the Sunday ultimate pickup game played at Coan Middle School in the Kirkwood neighborhood of Atlanta, GA. (We sometimes play at the Rec Center, directly across Hosea Williams Dr. from the school; park in the lot off Woodbine Ave.) We play year 'round, typically starting about 3:30 in the winter (Standard time) and 4:30 - 5:00 in the summer (Daylight Savings). Feel free to join this list if you want to keep in the loop on weather advisories, field updates, or just to get to know us better.

We're a long standing, but informal game that has consistently had good attendance through the years. We welcome all abilities, ages and genders of players, though most of our players have at least a working knowledge of the rules. We are pretty pet and family friendly (over the years we have created at least 3 families that we know of) and it's a rare week when neither canines nor children are present. If you should decide to bring your pooch out, please remember to bring poop bags and leash stakes, for the sake of your fellow players.

The field is a full-length athletic field which is generally grass covered, but has patches of exposed dirt, and can get rather hard baked in the summer. Most of our players wear cleats for added traction.

We generally play light/dark teams, so bring both a light (white) and dark shirt to try to keep the teams balanced. There are no bathroom facilities at the field, so go before you get there. There's also no water source; you'll be glad if you bring some along.

Many of us have known each other for a long time, and occasionally hang at the field or go for a bite afterwards. Feel free to bring a beverage for after the game (being concientious of surroundings, of course), and remember take any trash with you.
