Indian skipper Rahul Dravid on Thursday said that the thumping win
against Scotland was a perfect warm-up for the team for the bigger
battle against England.
"We are shifting from the Test mode to the one-day mode so we need to
adjust few things. It was the first one-day game after the Test series
and I am glad that everything fell in place," Dravid said after India
beat Scotland by seven wickets.
Dravid said he was happy with the performance of Munaf Patel and Ajit
Agrakar since they were playing after a long time.
"Munaf is coming back in the team after some time and he bowled well
today. Both Munaf and Ajit did a good job. It was a professional
performance from the team," he said.
Man of the match Gautam Gambhir said that it was a satisfying
performance considering the cold conditions.
"It is pretty chilly here. We are not used to these conditions.
England had a good weather. So it was important to get used to in the
middle. They bowled well in good areas," he said.
"It is important that whenever you get an opportunity, you give your
best," he said.
Losing skipper Ryan Watson said that he was happy with the performance
of the team but
there were lessons to be learnt from top side like India.
"It was a decent total. We fought hard. We bowled well but their top
order acquired singles and we can learn from these things," he said.
