Re: Nego Leagues set update

Fellow list members:

In the Aug. 19 edition of "The Talk Show," Glenn Guzzo's Q&A column on
Strat-O-Matic's Web site, Guzzo offered the following answer to two questions
about when the long-overdue Negro Leagues set will come out:

-----
Strat-O-Matic’s Hal Richman reports that work is progressing nicely. He’s
excited about the set. I think we can expect an announcement soon. But having
missed earlier dates, SOM will be understandably reluctant to declare a
date-certain until it can be sure to deliver.
-----

In other words: "Who knows?"

I hate to be negative, but "Work is progressing nicely" and "I think we can
expect an announcement soon" is about as noncommittal as you can get. At *this*
point, the company might as well wait until Christmas (again), the time of year
when its customers traditionally are in the mood to buy baseball teams.
