Greetings everyone. Just happened to stumble upon the forum tonight and had to
join. This is now my second forum as I also belong to the Backyard Rink forum
just in case there are any hockey fans out there too.
I just recently ordered a new Strat-O-Matic board game. I hadn't played in over
15 years but decided that I wanted to pick it up again after too many years
away. So I waited and when I got my game I dived in head first. Decided to
work up my own league (Mid West Professional League) with 16 teams (mistake) in
to Conferences of 8 teams. So I went through and held a draft, made a schedule
(way too many games) and decided to start it up.
So that brings me to my dilemma. I have always played the original board game
but with my time restraints and the crazy schedule I made for the league it's
going to take me over a year to play all the games. So do I break down and do
the computer game? I like keeping score and stats - the computer game I believe
does that and it can print them out or save so you can post to a website right?
I used to commish a hockey league and if the computer version allows for easier
league play online for others and myself I would even like to run a league for
it.
So to all of you out there that use the computer version can you please give me
some insight and either convince me that it is a must have after spending $65
for the board game or maybe those that have tried it and "ah it was OK" can let
me know your story too.
Anything to help would be appreciated.
