Stephane is competing at Ondrej Nepela Memorial!!!   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #88 of 671 |
Stephane is doing his first competition of the season!!! (well
unless I missed out on something he did previous to the competition
just taking place - I haven't actually been checking out the junior
Grand Prixs, it's almost certainly his first senior competition of
the season though ;-)).

The official page of the Ondrej Nepela Memorial in Bratislava is:
http://www.kraso.sk/nepela/

The entries in the men's are (these are not results, just entries,
so don't worry about Stephane being last ;-)):

Ondrej Hotarek CZE
Lukas Rakowski CZE
Alexei Kozlov EST
Stefan Lindeman GER
Silvio Smalun GER
Maciej Kus POL
Stanislav Timchenko RUS
Ivan Kincik SVK
Juraj Sviatko SVK
Gregor Urbas SLO
Stephane Lambiel SUI

It looks like Stephane has a very big chance of gold in this event
and almost certainly will win a medal. His main rival will probably
be Stefan Lindeman. Another guy to maybe watch out for would be
Stanislav Timchenko. I haven't seen him, but he's from Russia and
Russia have a very strong field in men's as we all know. I think
these three would be my predictions for the medals here, I just
don't know the order, although I think it's easy to guess who I want
to win gold ;-) Other skaters, who could surprise us and get on to
the podium would be Juraj Sviatko, Gregor Urbas and Silvio Smalun. I
doubt anyone else can (although I admit I know absolutely nothing
about Ondrej Hotarek and Ivan Kincik). It's unlikely that Stephane
and Stefan finish off the podium though.
I would very much like to hear predictions of other people on this
list :-)

This event will almost certainly not be televised - well there's
maybe a vague chance of something being shown on Slovakian TV, but
it certainly won't be shown anywhere else.

Monika

Hey Angie :-) The reasons why I thought Stefan Lindeman just could maybe win with Stephane was that: 1. At the beginning of the season strange things happen....
