I don't really think his FP is that strong... I mean actually as far as I could see Abt had the more difficult footwork (Yags was doing too many toe steps) and better spins, plus the quality of his jumps and basic stroking is better. I expect Yagudin will have some more difficult combinations planned for Olympics though.
As for presentation I prefered some of his previous programs. This choreography isn't really quite into the music. I mean for instance the pantomime kind of bits he has, are very cool moves, but they don't pick any notes out of the music and a lot of his FP is like that. So far I haven't seen him skate it really emotionally either (well, I saw it only twice, so perhaps this comment isn't quite as relevant :-)).
Well, at any rate I don't really understand why this year everyone thinks he's so surpreme in artistry. I mean he definetely is on a high level of artistry, but for me he is not unbeatable...

The ankle injury... Well, I think he probably didn't feel the pain, but I imagine he generally felt little of his foot if he got shots and skating while not quite feeling your foot must be a bit more difficult.
Besides, he still had to deal with the much more serious injury - the groin one. Remember a similar injury actually kept Elvis from competing for a whole season and Plushy has been skating with it for the whole season (well, apart from Euros).

Well, China guys aren't really quite that strong... Chengjang Li had a good beginning of the season and then at Nationals lost to Min Zhang (I'm not sure if my spelling is correct), who has never managed to get into the World top 10 yet. And Yungfel Li has been injured most of the season I think.
As for Americans, Weiss seems to be out of the question really (he lost to Lindeman this season!!! and I heard that some people thought he shouldn't have won with Savoie at Nationals). Goebel has been slightly put in doubt because of loosing at Nationals to Eldredge. And Todd has yet to land a quad in competition and it's starting to be hard to believe that you can be in the medals at Olys without a quad...
I think the 3 Russians are definetely the strongest and it's going to be more a battle between them - well unless the judges decide otherwise...

Yep, I'm also very sorry for A&B :-(
As for B&S I just get so angry because the technical marks they're getting are undeserved. They maybe first in Russia based on presentation marks, but certainly not on technical ones. P&T and T&M have more difficult side by side jumps and lifts.
If they win Olys I will be very angry...
I will somehow accept if S&P win (although I also think they are held up - they just don't get penalized for mistakes, if they had been judged fairly in the SP at last Worlds, they wouldn't have been World Champions).
Why do you think B&S will be sure winners? I mean they've been loosing to S&P all the time this and last season.
I'm sorry if this e-mail comes out a bit aggresive. I'm just very emotional about the Olys :-)
