Stair climbing races started in the 1970's from running clubs and has attracted athletes from all sports interested in cross-training, including; boxing, cycling, running, track, marathon, ironman triathlon, swimming, strength building sports, aerobic sports, rowing, kayaking, Olympic sports and events, and others.
