Hanshi Robert Scaglione will be leading the opening ceremonies at the
St. Barts Athletic Center this Saturday, May 20, beginning at 11:00am
(starting time changed from 12 noon). All are encouraged to attend.
The studio is located at 109 East 50th street between Park and Lexington
Avenues. Take the elevators at the end of the hall to the basement
level and proceed to the basketball court. The karate studio is on the
right side just before the court. In the event the 50th street entrance
is closed, enter through the outdoor restaurant at the front of the
church and ask for directions to the elevators.

Reasonable parking (by NYC standards) is available at the garage on 46th
street between Lexington and Third (Just north of the old dojo). Their
usual fee for Saturdays is $12, but they are not always consistent.

Bring gi and weapons (nunchukas should be kept in your gym bag). There
are changing facilities and showers in the Athletic Center. However,
the showers are part of the pool complex (dating back to the 1950s) and
are coed. We therefore ask that if you plan to shower, please bring a
bathing suit.

Most of all, bring joy and vigor.
