Subject: [USRKUSA - Deshi]  Northfield, Minnesota testing and promotion

The Ueshiro Northfield Shorin-Ryu Karate Club of Minnesota held its
first ever full belt testing and promotion on Wednesday, Feb. 25.
Promoted to Go-Kyu (two green tips) were Griffin Reppe and Jonathan
Reppe. Promoted to Yon-Kyu were Steve Hatle, Mera Cowling, and Angel
Dobrow. All students, friends and supporters who attended the event saw
a traditional Shorin-Ryu belt promotion. In addition to demonstrating
their kata, those testing for Yon-Kyu exhibited strong Yakusoku Kumite
and breaking technique. Congratulations to all students and supporters
who participated. Domo arigato gozaimasu to friends and supporters for
their display of seriousness and dedication. The Wednesday night testing
was a true display of joy and vigor in training and in spirit. Thank you
Hanshi, Kyoshis Mackay and Seeger, all Sensei, Sempai, and Deshi for keeping 
Shorin-Ryu karate alive, growing and strong!
