Just a reminder that the Sherwood Island, Ct., beach workout will be this Sunday, July 13, starting at 8:30 am(directions attached). Please bring plenty of sunscreen and water. Sho-dan Richy Glassberg will provide Gatorade for the group, but extra hydration is in order. Advanced students should bring their weapons.
The workout will continue to approximately 12:30 pm, followed by a picnic at the residence of Sensei Adam Dunsby, Shihan of the Easton Connecticut Ueshiro Shorin-Ryu Karate Club (directions also attached). This workout will be an opportunity to celebrate and remember Sensei Eddie Garcia, particularly his 24 years of service to the Ueshiro Shorin-Ryu Community.
If you have not already done so, please RSVP to your Shihan so he may forward to Hanshi and me an accurate head count.

I am pleased to announce Hanshi Robert Scaglione will preside over next month's beach workout held atSherwood Island State Park, starting at 8:30 am, Sunday, July 13. Students from USRKUSA schools world-wide are encouraged to attend. An informal pool-side picnic/BBQ will be held at the home of Sensei Adam Dunsby afterwards beginning at approximately 1 pm. We will use this gathering as an opportunity to remember and compai Sensei Eddie Garcia.
To prepare for both the workout and picnic, please advise your shihan if you and your family are planning to attend. Directions and further details to follow.
