Recently I heard on the training deck a quote from Hanshi, which 
conveyed so much in so few words:

"Karate is 99% Practice and 1% Theory".

Hanshi explained that he adapted this quote from Patabi Jois, the 93 
year old founder of Ashtanga Yoga, who said this about Yoga.
