Re: [spudman] What else is there for a family to do?

Hi Jackie,
Due to major road closure because of heavy bike traffic it may be very difficult
to leave the start of the race area...make it to the swim takeout to watch them
exit the river and then find a spot to re-park back at the golf course
especially with 3 young children in tow! My advice is to watch Jay start the
swim...watch him come in from the bike and transition to the run...then watch
him come in from the run. Trying to leave and return to the area may be your
worst nightmare as the only road in to the finish is the one the bikers return
on.
Jen is right there are a few slides...grassy area and sand. Bring plenty of sun
screen, snacks and liquid.
Enjoy....it's a great race and wonderful atmosphere. The Lions do a wonderful
job!

My family had a great time swimming in the river after all the triathletes had gone.  The finish area is fun and the kids will enjoy watching the athletes...
