Re: [spudman] iPods

(Spudman Committee BCC'd on this reply)

Hello mom2lots,

Historically participants that have worn ipods and other such personal music devices on the run have not been disqualified.

There may be penalties doled out this year to those who do.  This has yet to be determined.

I am copying the spudman committee on this reply so they can put this on their list of items to discuss if they wish.

Sincerely,

Cliff

I am new to triathlons. My only racing experience, so far, is running
races where music on my iPod is very important to me. I read on the
rules for the Spudman that no MP3 players are allowed. Will
participants be disqualified if they use music during the running
portion of the race?

I agree that safety of others should be taken into account when deciding to break the rules and bring along an i-pod during a race. I would have no problem...
