SENIOR REHABILITATION SCIENTIST
(working with British Olympic Association [BOA])
Based: EIS/ Bisham Abbey Performance Centre
Salary: £34,500 - £48,499 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
The BOA has teamed up with the EIS to create the British Olympic Medical
Institute – Intensive Rehabilitation Unit. This role presents a unique
opportunity to shape and develop the service at Bisham Abbey.
The role will involve:
• Providing scientific support to the rehabilitation unit and conducting
assessments of athletes
• Managing the delivery and development of strength and conditioning sessions
for athletes resident in the Intensive Rehab Unit (IRU)
• Working with the Intensive Rehab Unit team and other regional network points
to create a world class high performance rehabilitation environment.
You should have:
• A qualification at degree level (or equivalent) in Physiotherapy
• Extensive experience in the provision of either physiology or strength and
conditioning support to athletes and coaches to improve performance. This
experience should include extensive work with national teams and their athletes.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse a range of sports in relation to their
physiological or strength and conditioning needs. To develop, implement and
evaluate training programmes for individual athletes within these sports.
