Clinical Exercise Physiologist
The Department of Biological Sciences at Northern Arizona University is seeking a Clinical Exercise Physiologist at the rank of Assistant Professor. The person hired will be expected to teach courses in Cardiorespiratory and Musculoskeletal Exercise Testing and Prescription, as well as others in area of expertise. The faculty member will also be expected to direct the Clinical Exercise Research Facility, perform scholarly activity in their area of expertise, train graduate students at the masters and doctoral level, and engage in department, college, university and professional service as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Doctoral degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology or related area.
2. Two years postdoctoral or clinical experience, including ACSM certification (RCEP, Exercise Specialist, or Program Director).
3. Demonstrated experience in teaching courses related to Exercise Testing and Prescription.
4. Demonstrated experience in coordinating clinical exercise physiology testing activities, including supervising student internships.
Preferred Qualifications
1. History of publication and grant activity consistent with expectations of department of Biological Sciences
2. Interest and experience in teaching in learner-centered settings
3. Interest and experience in teaching distance/web courses.
