Waikato Institute of Technology (Wintec) is one of the largest

Reporting to the Dean – Faculty of Business and Technology, and as a
member of the Faculty Management team, you will be accountable for
academic leadership within the sport and exercise field, working
closely with the New Zealand Academy of Sport – Northern, regional
sport and other industry partners. Demands of the position include
continued development and implementation of teaching and learning,
research, and sport science consultancy, which drive the business
direction and operational activities of the School, Faculty and
Institute.
As an outstanding leader you will be able to respond positively to
challenges and consistently deliver quality results. Your
experience will include 5-10 years at management level with an
understanding of high performance sport and the importance of
applied research. You will have advanced interpersonal skills, hold
an academic qualification at Doctoral or Masters level and have the
ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with
Wintec staff and industry.

Lecturer in Sport and Recreation - Fixed Term

The School of Sport and Exercise Science seeks a full-time lecturer
to teach in the areas of Sport Management and Recreation Programming.
The position is suitable for someone who has preferably, a
postgraduate qualification in Sport Management, Recreation
Administration, or a similar field of study. Teaching experience at
either secondary or tertiary level is preferred but not essential.
Applicants need to be highly motivated, well organised and have a
keen interest in teaching at both diploma and degree level. The
successful applicant would be joining an energetic team of staff who
have a commitment to high performance sport, the exercise industry,
recreation management, applied research and sport consultancy.
