ASPIRE the Academy for Sports Excellence in Qatar is looking to recruit suitable
candidates for its growing team of international professionals.

Our mission at ASPIRE is to discover the best young sporting talent from the
region and transform them into world-renowned champions, realising the dreams of
children everywhere.

With state-of-the-art facilities and world-class sports programmes, we will turn
talented young student athletes into winners at the highest levels of
international competition.

Positions currently available in the Sports Department are:


Football:

U7-U12 Coordinator - main responsibilities include:

* Establishing and managing a country wide network of coaching centres
* Promoting the centres to ensure mass participation
* Implementing an appropriate coaching programme in order to raise the technical
level of young players in this age range
* Liaising with the ASPIRE Talent Identification Department



Head Goalkeeper Coach - main responsibilities include:

* Developing and implementing an ASPIRE goalkeeper coaching programme

* Working with club coaches to raise standards in general
* Liaising with the ASPIRE Talent Identification Department to identify
potential top class goalkeepers



U11 Coach and U12 Coach - main responsibilities include:

* Implementing the ASPIRE coaching programme
* Preparing the ASPIRE U11/U12 team
* Assisting with the ASPIRE Talent Identification Programme



Recruitment Coach - main responsibilities include:

* Implementing the ASPIRE overseas scholarship scheme
* Scouting within Qatar
* Liaising closely with the ASPIRE Talent Identification Department
* Coaching duties



All applicants must hold the UEFA ‘A’ Certificate, several years of experience
with young players at a professional level, a clear understanding of how
youngsters learn, preferably a degree/diploma in Sports Studies together with
good English language skills. The Recruitment Coach is also required to have an
appropriate professional qualification.






Athletics:


Middle-/Long Distance Coach - main responsibilities include:

* Developing and implementing an ASPIRE middle-/long distance coaching programme
* Daily work with the ASPIRE student-athletes

* Liaising with the ASPIRE Talent Identification Department to identify
potential top runners



Throwing Coach - main responsibilities include:

* Developing and implementing an ASPIRE throwers coaching programme
* Daily work with the ASPIRE student-athletes

* Liaising with the ASPIRE Talent Identification Department to identify
potential top throwers



All applicants must hold a coaches licence – desirable is an athletics coaches
diploma or at least a coaches license on an A-Level and a degree/diploma in
Sports Studies. We expect several years of experience with young athletes,
together with good English language skills.


Strength & Conditioning:


Strength & Conditioning Coach for football - main responsibilities include:

* Developing and implementing an ASPIRE strength & conditioning programme for
football
* Responsible for the s&c training of the ASPIRE football players
* Assumes special parts in strength diagnosis/analysis
* Daily work with the ASPIRE student-athletes



Strength & Conditioning Coach for racket games - main responsibilities include:

* Developing and implementing an ASPIRE strength & conditioning programme for
racket games
* Responsible for the s&c training of the ASPIRE racket games players
* Assumes special parts in strength diagnosis/analysis
* Daily work with the ASPIRE student-athletes



Strength & Conditioning Coach for multi sports - main responsibilities include:

* Developing and implementing an ASPIRE strength & conditioning programme for
multi sports, e.g. swimming, gymnastics, handball, basketball
* Responsible for the s&c training of the ASPIRE multi sports athletes
* Assumes special parts in strength diagnosis/analysis
* Daily work with the ASPIRE student-athletes



All applicants must hold a s&c/coaches licence – desirable is a coaches diploma
or at least a coaches license on an A-Level and a degree/diploma in Sports
Studies. We expect several years of experience with young athletes, together
with good English language skills.





ASPIRE Talent Centres:


ASPIRE Talent Centre Head Coach - main responsibilities include:

* Establishing and managing a country wide network of coaching centres for multi
sports (U7 – U12) – except football
* Promoting the centres to ensure mass participation in a variety of sports
* Developing and implementing an appropriate coaching programme
* Liaising with the ASPIRE Talent Identification Department



All applicants must hold a coaches licence – desirable is a coaches diploma or
at least a coaches license on an A-Level and a degree/diploma in Sports Studies.
We expect several years of experience with young athletes and in the
organization of Talent Centres/Clubs, together with good English language
skills.




Several part-time positions as Coaches and Assistant Coaches in the ASPIRE
Talent Centres:

All applicants must hold a coaches licence – desirable is a coaches licence on
an A- or on a B-Level or a degree in Sports Studies. We expect some years of
experience with young athletes or own practical experiences, together with very
good Arabic and some English language skills.



Multi Sports:


Multi Sports Coach - main responsibilities include:

* Implementing the ASPIRE Multi Sports Program
* Responsible for the training of the ASPIRE multi sports athletes
* Finding the best sport for the athletes, where they can be champions in the
future
* Daily work with the ASPIRE student-athletes



All applicants must hold a coaches licence – desirable is a coaches licence on
an A- or at least on a B-Level and a degree/diploma in Sports Studies. We expect
several years of experience with young athletes, together with good English
language skills.




Table Tennis:


Table Tennis Head Coach and Table Tennis Coach - main responsibilities include:

* Developing and implementing an ASPIRE table tennis coaching programme
* Daily work with the ASPIRE student-athletes

* Liaising with the ASPIRE Talent Identification Department to identify
potential top table tennis players



All applicants must hold a coaches licence – desirable is a coaches diploma or
at least a coaches license on an A-Level and a degree/diploma in Sports Studies.
We expect several years of experience with young athletes, together with good
English language skills.



Squash:


Squash Head Coach and Squash Coach - main responsibilities include:

* Developing and implementing an ASPIRE squash coaching programme
* Daily work with the ASPIRE student-athletes

* Liaising with the ASPIRE Talent Identification Department to identify
potential top squash players



All applicants must hold a coaches licence – desirable is a coaches diploma or
at least a coaches license on an A-Level and a degree/diploma in Sports Studies.
We expect several years of experience with young athletes, together with good
English language skills.



Tennis:


Tennis Head Coach and Tennis Coach - main responsibilities include:

* Developing and implementing an ASPIRE tennis coaching programme
* Daily work with the ASPIRE student-athletes

* Liaising with the ASPIRE Talent Identification Department to identify
potential top tennis players



All applicants must hold a coaches licence – desirable is a coaches diploma or
at least a coaches license on an A-Level and a degree/diploma in Sports Studies.
We expect several years of experience with young athletes, together with good
English language skills.




Sailing:


Sailing Coach - main responsibilities include:

* Developing and implementing an ASPIRE sailing coaching programme for Optimist
and 4.7
* Daily work with the ASPIRE student-athletes
* Liaising with the ASPIRE Talent Identification Department to identify
potential top sailors



All applicants must hold a coaches licence – desirable is a coaches diploma or
at least a coaches license on an A-Level and a degree/diploma in Sports Studies.
We expect several years of experience with young athletes, together with good
English language skills.






Physiology:


Physiologist (Football) - main responsibilities include:



* Provision of applied physiological support for football.

* Provision of advise to football coaches regarding individual player
training strategies and performance enhancement.

* Liaise closely with the ASPIRE Talent Identification Program



Applicants should have a Degree in Sports Science / Exercise Physiology
majoring in sports / exercise physiology. Desirable is a PhD in Sports Science /
Exercise Physiology majoring in sports / exercise physiology. They should have
about 5 years experience in high performance and youth sports sport science
service provision in football. Applied practical experience in ergometry, gas
analysis and lactate analysis as well as field testing is essential. Experience
in biochemistry analysis is an advantage.

Applicant should have good oral and written English language skills.


Physiologist (Athletics/ endurance events and other endurance sports) - main
responsibilities include:


* Provision of applied physiological support for athletics and
other endurance sports.

* Provision of advise to coaches regarding individual athlete
training strategies and performance enhancement.

* Liaise closely with the ASPIRE Talent Identification Program



Applicants should have a Degree in Sports Science / Exercise Physiology
majoring in sports / exercise physiology. Desirable is a PhD in Sports Science /
Exercise Physiology majoring in sports / exercise physiology. They should have
about 5 years experience in high performance and youth sports sport science
service provision.. Applied practical experience in ergometry, gas analysis and
lactate analysis as well as field testing is essential. Experience in
biochemistry analysis is an advantage.

Applicant should have good oral and written English language skills.



Physiologist (Racket Games and others) - main responsibilities include:


* Provision of applied physiological support for racket sports.

* Provision of advise to coaches regarding individual player training
strategies and performance enhancement.

* Liaise closely with the ASPIRE Talent Identification Program



Applicants should have a Degree in Sports Science / Exercise Physiology
majoring in sports / exercise physiology. Desirable is a PhD in Sports Science /
Exercise Physiology majoring in sports / exercise physiology. They should have
about 5 years experience in high performance and youth sports sport science
service provision preferably in racket sports. Applied practical experience in
ergometry, gas analysis and lactate analysis as well as field testing is
essential. Experience in biochemistry analysis is an advantage.

Applicant should have good oral and written English language skills.



Talent Identification:


Talent Identification Officer – main responsibilities include:



* Assist with the organization of the ASPIRE Talent
Identification Program.

* Manage testing groups of physical education teachers and
students during field test sessions.

* Maintain and operate talent identification database.

* Maintain and repair field testing equipment.

* Assist with talent identification research programs.

* Assist with regular physiological testing and research
programs.



Applicants should have a Degree in Sports Science. They should have minimum
about 3 years experience in field testing with high performance and/or youth
sports. Applied practical experience in Talent Identification is desirable.
Applied practical experience in ergometry, gas analysis and lactate analysis is
an advantage.

Applicant should have good oral and written English language skills.





Biomechanics:


Head of Biomechanics - main responsibilities include:

* Develop and implement biomechanical diagnosis for all ASPIRE sports.

* Develop an ongoing strategy for the biomechanical unit, including
applied research.

* Give advice to the coaches in case of training strategies and
performance enhancement for each individual athlete.

* Being part in building up of support teams for different sports/sport
groups.

* Assume the biomechanical part in teaching the Academy΄s students.

* Participates in the recruitment.

* Give advice to the coaches in case of training strategies and
performance enhancement for the individual athletes and for the teams.

* Liaising closely with the ASPIRE Talent Identification Program.
* Remark: This is not an administrative but a practical task.



All applicants must have a PhD in Sports Science – main topic biomechanics in
sports – and/or PhD in biomechanics. Desirable is a professorship in Sports
Science – main topic biomechanics in sports – and/or in biomechanics. Sound
experiences in elite sports support. Publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Good organizational skills. Strategic thinking. Good oral and written English
language skills. Good IT skills.




Senior Officer Kinematics - main responsibilities include:

* Develop and implement movement/match/video analysis for the ASPIRE
teams/athletes.

* Give advice to the coaches in case of training strategies and
performance enhancement for the individual athletes and for the teams.

* Being part in building up of support teams for different sports/sport
groups

* Liaising closely with the ASPIRE Talent Identification Program



All applicants must have a Diploma in Sports Science – main topic biomechanics
in sports – and/or Diploma in biomechanics. Desirable is a PhD in Sports Science
– main topic biomechanics in sports – and/or PhD in biomechanics. Sound
experiences in elite sports support. Good English language and IT skills.


Senior Officer Kinetics - main responsibilities include:

* Develop and implement strength/speed/… analysis for the ASPIRE
teams/athletes.

* Give advice to the coaches in case of training strategies and
performance enhancement for the individual athletes and for the teams.

* Being part in building up of support teams for different sports/sport
groups

* Liaising closely with the ASPIRE Talent Identification Program



All applicants must have a Diploma in Sports Science – main topic biomechanics
in sports – and/or Diploma in biomechanics. Desirable is a PhD in Sports Science
– main topic biomechanics in sports – and/or PhD in biomechanics. Sound
experiences in elite sports support. Good English language and IT skills.




Medicine:


Head of Cardiology/General Medicine - main responsibilities include:

* Cardiological/general medical care for all the ASPIRE athletes, also
at training camps and competitions

* Analysis of main medical/biochemical parameters, e.g. immune
parameters, hormones

* Give advice to the coaches and athletes in case of health issues and
training strategies for each individual athlete

* Being part in building up of support teams for different sports/sport
groups



All applicants must have a MD degree and be a specialist in cardiology/general
medicine. Desirable is also a Master Degree in Sports Science. Sound experiences
in elite sports, e.g. as a team doctor and/or as a responsible doctor for a
Federation/Olympic Training Centre. Good oral and written English language
skills. Arabic is a plus.




Sports IT:


Sports Application Head – main responsibilities include:

* IT support for the Sports Department, e.g. different sports,
Performance Enhancement & Talent Identification, Medical Unit …

* Develops a unique Sports Data Base, based on an Oracle System.

* Develops tailor made solutions for all required sports topics,
inclusive software adaptations, software developments …

* Being part in building up support teams for different sports/sports
groups together with Physiology/Talent
ID/Psychology/Nutrition/Medicine/Physiotherapy …

* Assume the IT part in teaching the ASPIRE students.



All applicants must have a Diploma/Master Degree in IT and sound experiences in
elite sports support including programming sports software. Sound experiences
with Oracle. Good English language skills.
