International Postgraduate Research Scholarship: Opportunity in Sport
and Exercise Science
The University of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia is
offering one International Postgraduate Research Scholarship to an
international higher degree by research candidate.
The Centre for Healthy Activities, Sport and Exercise (CHASE) within
the Faculty of Science undertakes research that assists in understanding
and enhancing sport performance, and that supports the development of
healthy activities in the community. Candidates with an interest in
Clinical Exercise Physiology or Sport Biomechanics are particularly
encouraged to apply for this scholarship.
To be eligible for this award you must be a higher degree by research
applicant that satisfies the entry requirements for the proposed degree,
including the English proficiency requirements, and must be a citizen of
a country other than Australia and New Zealand.
Applicants must also meet international student visa requirements as
specified by the Department of Immigration and Multicultural and
Indigenous Affairs (DIMIA), including the requirement to purchase and
maintain a standard overseas Student Health Cover policy approved by the
Commonwealth Government Department of Health and Ageing. For further

The value of this scholarship includes the annual course cost for the
successful applicant's program and the cost of a standard Overseas
Student Health Cover policy. Please note there is no stipend available
for this award, however employment within the University may be
available.
Awards are available for a period of two years for a Master level
research degree, and three years for Doctoral research degrees.
