5TH INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM COMPUTER SCIENCE IN SPORT

SUBMISSION DEADLINE POSTPONEMENT INFORMATION


Due the interest shown by a number of countries the Organisational
Committee of the 5th International Symposium on Computer Science in
Sport that will take place in Hvar, Croatia, has decided to prolong
the submission period for the next two weeks. The new submission
deadline is February 21, 2005. Other deadlines will remain the same
as was stated before (www.iacss2005.hr).


Symposium KEYNOTE SPEAKERS will be: Larry KATZ, Sport Technology
Research Laboratory, University of Calgary, CANADA, Maja J MATARIC,
University of Southern California, USA, Tom REILLY, Liverpool John
Moores University, UK, Boris SAKAC, CAOP, Zagreb, CROATIA, Wolfgang
SCHOELLHORN, University of Muenster, GERMANY, and Otto SPANIOL, RWTH
Aachen University, Computer Science Department, GERMANY.


SYMPOSIUM PLENARY SPEAKERS will be: Natalia BALAGUE (ESP), Mike
HUGHES (UK), Martin LAMES (GER), Juergen PERL (GER), Arnold BACA as
well as representatives of IASI and of ISEA (to be declared latter).


The SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE of the Symposium is declared with members:
Natalia BALAGUE (ESP), Mike HUGHES (UK), Martin LAMES (GER),
Vladimir MEDVED (CRO), Arnold BACA (AUT), Juergen PERL (GER), Tom
REILLY (UK) and Josef WIEMEYER (GER).



TRAVEL TO HVAR
The City of Hvar is located on the south-east side of the Island of
Hvar, which is situated in Split archipelago in the middle of the
Croatian coast.

The most convenient way to reach the City of Hvar is to reach Split
and then take one of the many direct ferry lines to the Hvar.

Split has an international airport with regular flights from all
main European airports; there is also a direct bus line to Split and
rail from all major cities in Croatia.

The official carrier Croatia Airlines has arranged special airfares
with the organizers of the 5th Int. Symposium Computer Science
Sport .
Croatia Airlines will grant a 50% discount on international flights
on individual published IATA airfares and a 25% discount on domestic
flights on C, Y and B airfares to Split for the event participants
and accompanying persons. This discount is applicable for Croatia
Airlines flights only, on tickets purchased in Croatia Airlines
offices.
