LECTURER / TEACHING FELLOW IN
CLINICAL PHYSIOLOGY (CARDIOLOGY)

From October 2005 a new BSc in Clinical
Physiology (Cardiology) will be offered by the Centre for Sport and Exercise Science,
within the Department of Biological Sciences.
We are now looking to appoint a Lecturer or Teaching Fellow to take a
lead role in the development and delivery of the curriculum and be involved in
guiding the scheme through the accreditation process.
The post holder will coordinate the clinical placement programme; be
responsible for practical classes and have tutorial duties; and supervise
undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. An appointee to a Lectureship will be expected
to undertake research in an appropriate field.
Applicants must have a good first degree in a relevant discipline and
for appointment as Lecturer have, or be close to the completion of, a PhD in an
area relevant to Clinical Physiology (Cardiology). Demonstrable research ability is essential. For appointment as a Teaching Fellow,
applicants should have at least a Masters level qualification and demonstrable experience
and effectiveness in teaching. Experience of working in a clinical setting is
desirable.
Appointment to this full time permanent post, to start as soon as
possible, will be made in the range £22,116-£35,883 per annum dependent on
skills, qualifications and experience.
