The National Strength & Conditioning Association will be hosting its next
"Lifting
for Power" Symposium June 11–12, 2004, at its new World Headquarters in Colorado
Springs, CO.
This symposium is designed for intermediate S&C professionals, sport coaches and
others interested in gaining an understanding of the fundamentals of power
training. The program will be led by a faculty of 7 speakers. Topics include:
• Introduction to Power
• Bioenergetics
• Endocrinology
• Dynamic Flexibility
• Teaching the Clean & DB Clean
• Program Design and Alternative Methods for Power Training
• Nutrition
• Real World Common Mistakes in Power Exercises
• Strength & Conditioning Standards and Guidelines
• Teaching the Snatch, DB Snatch and Combination Lifts
