The Institute for Sport Science of the University of Innsbruck and the Organising Committee of the Winter Universiade Innsbruck/Seefeld 2005 (ISOC 2005) have the pleasure to invite all interested sport scientists under the age of 35 years to the Young Researcher Seminar Innsbruck 2004 (YRS Innsbruck 2004). This seminar is organised on occasion of the Winter Universiade (World University Winter Games) hosted by Innsbruck and Seefeld in January 2005.
The YRS Innsbruck 2004 will take place within the framework of the European Year of Education through Sport 2004 and under the auspices of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) as well as the European University Sports Association (EUSA).
The topic of the YRS Innsbruck 2004 is “Young Elite Athletes and Education - A European Perspective for Student - Athletes”. All participants are invited to contribute to the aims of the European Year of Education through Sport (EYES 2004) laid down in Article 2 of Decision No 291/2003/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 6 February 2003. Within that framework “non-European” contributions are also accepted.
The International University Sports Federation (FISU) will select 30 international participants, who will receive a considerable financial contribution towards their travel costs, accommodation and the participation fee.
