I am in Silverton CO for the Hardrock 100, which begins Friday at 6 AM local
time (8 AM EDT). My goal is to beat my 2007 time by 29 seconds.

Hardrock is 100 miles with 33000 ft of climb, mostly at 10000 to 13000 ft
elevation. The highest point is 14048 ft (Handies Peak). Here are some photos
from last year. The direction alternates each year so we will be running in the
same direction as 2007. http://www.mattmaho ney.net/2008/ hr.html
I have been acclimating to the altitude for two weeks in Leadville (10200 ft)
with climbs to about 14000 ft about every other day. During the race you can
follow the progress of the runners at http://www.hardrock 100.com/
The cutoff is 48 hours (6 AM Sunday).
