I want to thank everyone that organized and worked this event. You all
deserve a great round of applause !! Cyndi you done good !! as did
everyone . I would also like to thank the many runners that expressed
concern for me as I was gimping my way back to home base after breaking
down at the four mile mark. Seems my bad knee took this time to show me
who's the boss. As I was slowly making my way back to my car I was
thinking how things have changed. It wasn't that many years ago I would
have kept running even if my knee was a bloody stump. Never quit !!! --
even if it means there is no tomorrow -- Of course it has taken me 70+
years to figure I'm not invincible. I'm a slow learner. Another thing
that I gave a lot of thought to during my slow painful walk, was just
how great a sport this is. Several people stopped to help me even saying
they would run/walk with me so that I could finish. There are some very
good choices that we as humans make in our lifetime, being involved with
our running community has been one of them for me. Thank you all
