(Olympic distance) and

html (sprint distance)
Both races were held at Pineapple Park in Eau Gallie. The standard Olympic
distance is 1.5 km swim, 40 km (24.8 mi) bike and 10 km run. The sprint
distance was 1/4 mile swim, 15.9 mile bike, and 3.5 mile run.
Both swims were in the Indian River on loop courses marked with buoys. The bike
course was north on Pineapple Rd and US1, then across the Pineda Causeway, then
south on S. Patrick Drive. From there the sprint race continued west across the
Eau Gallie Causeway back to Pineapple Park. The Olympic distance course crossed
the Mathers Bridge from there and headed north back to the Pineda Causeway, then
south on S. Patrick again. There was a water bottle exchange for the Olympic
course just before the Mathers Bridge. I actually measured 26.73 miles on my
bike odometer.
The Olympic course run follows the Eye of the Dragon 10K course, which crosses
the Eau Gallie causeway out and back at miles 4 and 6. The sprint course is the
last 3.5 miles of the 10K course and also crosses the bridge twice.
