The Wickham Park Jamboree 5K preseason cross country results are posted to

This was a preseason cross country race, much like Cocoa Beach last week, open
to the public but about 90% high school runners with separate girls and boys
races. The course was 2 laps on grass at Wickham Park, put on by Doug Butler
with no entry fee. The course was well marked with a white line down the middle
of a mowed path, splits every 1/4 mile and a clock at the mile.

In the girls race, Kayla Hale held back with the lead pack through the first
mile in 5:53, before breaking away to win in 17:59. Kyle Cooke won the boys
race in 15:54.

There were 4 age groups in each race: 12 and under, 13-14, 15-16, and 17-99.
Needless to say, I did not place in my age group :-)
