The Ascension's Eagle Run 5K results are posted to
http://mahoney4.home.netcom.com/scr/races/04eagle.txt

The race was held at Wickham Park on Sunday, 3 laps of a 1 mile road loop.
Art Anderson and I took the lead at the start, but after 1/2 mile, Neal
Levine caught up to us, and we ran through the first mile together in 6:01.
After that we spread out, Neal taking the lead. I dropped back to third
and we held these positions for the rest of the race. Neal won in 18:48,
Art was second in 19:08, and I was 19:28.

Since we are all over 40, we also got the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Masters, as
well as some age group awards. Race director Ray Cerrato promised that
next year that there would be no duplicate awards (but meanwhile I'm not
giving mine back :-) ). Christina Martin was first female in 22:55.

For a first annual race, it went pretty well. The course was measured with
a wheel, the timing was accurate, and the weather was cool and dry. There
was water and split times every mile, and everything else you would expect
(shirts, food, 5 year age groups, etc) and a 1 mile kids run.
