I was just checking the standings, and I notice we're currently in
first place in the North Division of the A.A., with a 5-2 record.
It may be early, but I think we've got quite a chance.

Our Saints ended up losing Game Four, and then Game Five, of the American Association Championship Series.
So, the Fort Worth Cats are the American Association Champions.
Still, we had a very good season, winning the Northern Division Championship, not bad for our first year in the new American Association.
Let's hope for the best for next season.
Hope to hear from you soon.

It's been posted on the American Association web site that the Saints
had to go 12 innings to win Game Three of the Championship Series, 3-2
the final, and so the Saints are just one win away from claiming the
title!
Game four is tonight, and personally, I must believe that the Saints
will win in tonight!
Go Saints Go!
The Fort Worth Cats won the first game of the American Association
Championship Series, however, our Saint Paul Saints won the second
game, thus acheiving a split in the Panther City!
Game Three is tonight at Midway Stadium, and I'm hoping the Saints win
it!
Go Saints Go!
WOO HOO
Thanks for the update George!!!

Subject: [sp-saints] We're in the series!
We came back from losing the first game of the Northern Division
playoffs to win it, three games to one, so that makes us the Northern
Division Champions!
So now, the home and away games are but a memory.
The field in the AA has been narowed to two:
Saint Paul Saints and Fort Worth Cats.
That's the match-up for this year's American Association Championship
Series.
I have the feeling that the series will go the full five games, with
the Saints winning it all!
Hope to hear from you soon!

I happened by the Saints web site, as well as th American Association
web site, and I noticed that we've lost the first game in the series
with Lincoln.
From what I understand, this is a best-of-five series, so there's no
reason for not winning in this series against the Saltdogs from Lincoln.
Personally, I would like to see the Saints win this series and go to
the AA Championship Series, and win that too.
Anybody agree with me, give me a shout.
Let's do it this season. Go Saints Go!
I just got the work from Our Sports Central that the Saints have
signed Derrick White to a contract!
White batted .407 for Tiujana in the Mexican League last season,
good enough to win the batting title!
And since we're half-a-game up on St. Joe for the wild card berth in
the Northern Division, this is welcome, well, more than welcome!
Also, I'll be on radio tonight, on 'Rock Solid Sports', at WUTK-FM,
90.3 on the dial, coming from what I lovingly call "The Bunker",
well in the lower reaches of the Andy Holt Tower at the University
of Tennessee in Knoxville.
The show starts at 7PM, ET, and runs for one hour. We're also on
the web at wutkradio.com.
We take calls at 865-974-2535.
Hope to hear from you. Hope my voice holds up!
As of now, the vocational rehabilitation agency doesn't have the college schedule I sent them. It was for the fall semester, and if the University of Tennessee doesn't have any financial contact by 4:30 PM ET on Tuesday, then I'm in deep dutch, as I won't be able to attend UT.
So, I am now thinking about getting the garbanzo out of
the South, and maybe there's something in St. Paul, Minnesota.
If you can help me with anything such as this, please shout it to me. I will appreciate it.
Thank you very much, and Go Saints Go!
Stay in the know. Pulse on the new Yahoo.com. Check it out.

Also, on the Saints web site there is a poll about whether we'll win the second-half crown in the Northern Division, and I said yes. The poll is very close at the moment, with a 'no' vote leading by only a few votes, so I say we vote on the matter more often!
Currently, we're 6-6, so I guess we've got a fighting chance!
Tonight is the American Association against the Can-Am League in All- Star play, so I'm choosing the AA!

When I joined this group, I had thought we (the Saint Paul Saints) were still in the Northern League.
Now, I find we're in a new league with an old name - The American Association!
That's okay, I don't mind, just
as long as the St. Paul Saints are still playing baseball, Minnesota style, if you will.
You know, sixty years ago, there was a St. Paul Saints team playing at the old Lexington Park, and these Saints, too, were members of the American Association.
However, that AA was considered Triple-A ball by the standards of that time.
Now, it's a different situation. Yes, we're Saint Paul Saints, and we're in the American Association. But it's independent baseball now.
But that's pretty good, as Garrison Keillor would say.

I hope to see you all someday at Midway Stadium!
I believe that back in the year 2000, FX aired a program
called "Baseball Minnesota", dealing with the St. Paul Saints.
I was just thinking about whether or not this show will ever come to
DVD, as I've never had the chance to watch it.
If you know the answer to this quandry, please let me know. I will
appreciate it.
Thanks.
I Believe - St. Paul Saints - Northern League Champions in 2006!
I am looking for tickets to Saints games. Please contact me ASAP if
you are a season ticket holder and are unable to make a game or if you
just have extra tickets to get rid of. Thanks much!!!
I just wanted to let the few of you know I posted some photos.

Go Saints!!
Tonanye Brown's two-run single keyed a four-run fifth inning that propelled the St. Paul Saints to a 9-5 Northern League victory over Kansas City Saturday night in front of 6,234 at Midway Stadium.
The win might be costly for St. Paul. Adam Olow, who set a league record for batting average last year with.376, had to be helped from the field when he apparently injured his ankle sliding into second base in the sixth inning. The extent of the injury was unknown at press time.
After Rick Prieto hit the first pitch of the game over the right-field fence, St. Paul scored the next five runs for a 5-1 lead after four innings.
Kris Cox and Billy Munoz extended their hitting streaks to nine games.
Saints sign host:Jay Crawford, the co-host of ESPN2's "Cold Pizza," signed a two-day contract to pitch for the Saints and was in uniform when the Saints played host to Kansas City in the second of a three-game series Saturday night at Midway Stadium.
"I've played baseball for many years and have always wanted the opportunity to do this," Crawford, 39, said before the game. "This should be a lot of fun."
St. Paul manager George Tsamis indicated Crawford probably would play in today's game. "It's early in the season and we're always looking for pitchers," he said.
Eddie Pearson drove in the final five runs as Kansas City ended the St. Paul Saints' five-game winning streak with a 10-6 victory Friday night in front of 6,020 at Midway Stadium.
Chad Ehrnsberger drove in three runs, and Tim Marks had three hits for the Saints (5-3), who made three errors that led to six unearned runs.
St. Paul outhit the T-Bones 10-9, despite being without regulars Justin Hall (back) and Adam Olow (elbow). Kris Cox and Billy Munoz extended their season-starting hitting streaks to eight games in a row.
St. Paul took its first lead, 6-3, on Ehrnsberger's bases-loaded double in the sixth inning that broke a 3-3 tie.
But Saints shortstop Chris Weber booted Chad Hill's grounder in the next inning with runners on first and third, allowing a run to score. Ray Brown then singled in another run, and Pearson hit his fourth of the year.
Dear Members,
I have a friend that plays for the saints, David Shepard but he was
