From news services

A 10-run sixth inning lifted the St. Paul Saints to a 15-9 victory over Winnipeg on Thursday night in front of 5,170 at Midway Stadium.

Mikaela Dworken, Josh Renick, Adam Olow and Tonayne Brown each had three hits as the Saints rallied from an 8-4 deficit to produce their second-biggest inning in team history. The biggest was a 12-run inning July 12, 1995, against Thunder Bay.

St. Paul sent 15 batters to the plate against three Goldeyes pitchers. Justin Hall's bases-loaded triple cut the deficit to 8-7. Olow then singled off losing pitcher Jake Brooks to tie the score. With the bases loaded again, Dworken doubled to leftfield to make it 10-8 and give the Saints a lead they would not relinquish. Renick and catcher Jeb Wiseman had two hits each in the outburst.

The winner was Eddie Aucoin, who pitched two innings in relief of starter Tim Christman. Christman allowed 10 hits and seven runs, with six strikeouts, in five innings.

St. Paul continues its eight-game homestand tonight against defending Northern League champ Fargo-Moorhead.
