Here is a summary:

2005-2006 Standings through January's Race

Special congrats to Mike Connors for his scintillating 2:45:49
marathon PR [and excellent 'manuscript'] . This moved him to 6th
place in the GP standings. Also notable are Eric Frome's 1:15:38
half and our fearless leader Danny Stein finally breaking 16:00 in
the 5k.

Mind Zhou's epic 1:04 [that's one HOUR four minutes] improvement in
the marathon brought him under 3:30 and into the top 20, as did
Erika Kotteakos own sub 3:30 PR. Newcomer Dan Templin's first ever
race earned him a 1:53:35 PR in the Half. It will certainly be the
first of many.

Leaderwatch: Through seven races, Bob Morris is averaging 866 points
per race, better than defending champ Freddy Cowles' 861. Is Bob
gunning to end Fred's string of victories? Stay tuned...

Even with many members sacrificing their own races to cheer, pace or
take pictures [thanks Dan!], a whopping 48 members completed one of
the three races last Sunday.

February's race is the Pacific Shoreline Marathon, Half & 5k on
February 5th. See you there!
