Sorry for the non-running E but can anyone help a local athlete's Mom in need
of one more blood donation for her surgery? A- or O- (Barry was actually at the
SCRR Thursday run a couple weeks back!)

I am currently taking care of my 77 year old mother as she is
approaching relatively serious spinal surgery (lumbar laminectomy)
between L3 and L4. She is in need of 4 pints of A- blood for her
surgery on January 11. If any of you are interested in donating I
would really appreciate it and would be extremely grateful.

STEPS FOR DIRECTED DONATION

1) If you are A- perfect as that is my mom's blood type. If you
are O- you are the universal donor and can also contribute.

2) Contact the surgery patient Red Cross # at 1 800 696-1757. I am
under the impression this can be done in LA or Orange County

3) Tell them you would like to make a directed donation to Billie
L. Wilson scheduled for surgery on January 11, 2006 at Irvine
Regional Hospital with Dr. Jon White.

If any of you have any further questions or would like to know about
