Hey guys,
Don't worry about the rain. I agree with Amelia - it's way better
than being too hot. Also, Amy's got the right idea with a poncho or
garbage bag that you can throw away if you get too warm. Biggest
mistake in the rain is wearing too much clothing, which then gets wet
and heavy.
My marathon PR is at the Seattle Marathon, November, 40 degrees (or
maybe colder) and drizzle turning to rain turning to pouring as the
race went on. And still a 12 minute PR!
When you're ready to run, you're ready. And the weather won't matter.
Good luck all. I think you guys have done some great training for
this race and am confident that we are going to see a lot of good
performances and I hope a lot of people out there having fun.
I'll be out and about at different spots and will be looking for you
guys in our new uniforms (or the orange ponchos).
Molly
