Guys we filled up the rat session for sunday, so I am offering open rat monday evening labor day as well $10 bucks a guy we will limit it to 22 guys and we could use a couple goalies as well. Goalies play free. We will play for an hour and a half. I will check email tomorrow night. If you want in, please email me.

Hello Everyone,

It's that time of year again. We are getting the word out for the 4th Annual South Bend Hockey 4 life Tournament benefitting the Childrens Make A Wish Foundation. For those of you that have participated in it in the past, you know that it is a very good time and it is for a good cause. We will be running it the same way we have in the past.

1- 4- 10 man Teams in the A-B Division and 4- 10 man teams in the C- Division

2- Teams will be formed by using the draft system.

3- There will be one game per team on friday night, 2 games per team on Saturday and 1 game per team on Sunday.

This years Volunteer Captains are as follows;

A-B Division - Nick Linarello, Nate Setser, Josh Setser, and Chris Sandnas

C- Division - Kevin Nobes, John banks, Don Shelinga, and Brad Books

This years cost is $65.00 per person. You will be getting a guaranteed 4 games, free beer provided throughout the weekend, and a dinner buffett on Saturday night.

Dates for event - October 21st, 22nd, and 23rd.

If you are interested, you need to get back to me or get in touch with any of the captains and get your name on the list. This will be filled on a first come first serve basis.

I am looking forward to this being another successful year.

Every Wednesday from 3:30 to 5 PM.  (Goalies: please contact me before coming. 
Most weeks we already have two goalies.)

Friday 9/30 from 1:30 to 3 PM.  (I have one goalie confirmed.)

All, my gloves were taken from my bag in the back and I'd appreciate
their return.  They're Easton Air Gloves, they're black with white
separaters between the flex joints.  They said Air on the top and have a
Red easton patch on the bottom facing wrist cuff. The glove is all
leather and the cuff material is a fabric.  They are 14" adult gloves.
If someone borrowed them and forgot to return, please do so. If someone
stole them and I see them on the ice, keep your head up.  Why would
anyone take the stinkiest piece of hockey equipment besides the jock? If
anyone see them, please give to someone at the rink or in the pro shop
and I'll pick them up. If you need a picture, email me and I'll send a
couple your way. Thank you.

For those of you with Comcast Cable in Indiana tonights ND/Ohio State game will be on Comcast Channel 3 starting at 7PM... It will not be shown in Michigan... Please don't shoot the messenger, not my decision where it's shown...

There will be a few more games during the season shown as well... When they are nailed down, I will post the channel and times...

Guys if you want to pass on to your guys theres a beginners rat/clinic this saturday rink 1 from 4:15 to 5:45 Cost is $5 to 10

This is open to adults who are in the rec league, or beginners looking to join the league. We are going to try to start this on a weekly basis. I would contact scott fraser for more info RAYSERVIC@...

I am still trying to throw a beginners team together and are still looking for players. Were short about 4 or 5 guys If you know anyone have them contact me

Guys this coming monday oct 31st, being halloween and all, both rinks are open for rental, or for a possible sticks and pucks session if anyone is interested. Rink 1 is open from 5 -7:45pm and rink 2 is available from 5 to 8pm I know its not a pristine time being halloween and all, but if anyone wants to run a team practice, a sticks and puck session, or setup a rat session, please contact rink manager mike klute. We're taking up a collection to purchase a second set of goalie gear for the Ice
Box.  This gear will be available for drop in and for league games.  The folks
who will benefit most from this second set of gear (other than the goalies, of
course) are those of us who play drop in ("rat") hockey.  Jeff Sax estimates he
can get a full set for about $600.00.  Since I play as much rat hockey as just
about anybody, I'll donate the first 10%.

If you'd like to donate, catch Jeff or me (or one of the very trustworthy folks
with whom we regularly play) or e-mail me and I'll give you a mailing address to
which you can send a check.

Guys I am running an open rat hockey session this sunday new years day @ 6pm Its going to be mainly a father son thing with a lot of IYHL kids playing, so its going to be a slower pace. Cost is 10 bucks a head and we will probably skate 90 minutes to 2 hours depending how tired I get and if my son starts whining. We have goalies lined up and have room for about 12-14 people. Someone (or someones) left behind a few pieces of equipment last week after rat
hockey.  If you're missing gear, send an e-mail to Brian Moore at
lazyernie@... and describe what you forgot.  If your description matches
the gear he collected in the locker room, he'll make arrangements to return it
to you.  If Brian doesn't hear from the owner in the next few days, the gear
will be put in the Ice Box's lost-and-found.

Guys we had a gal named jaci dalke contact us and is going to come down from kalamzoo and run some skating clinics for the men and women. The classes are all on saturdays Jan 21st, 28th and Feb 4th. We still plan on running the adult hockey clinic in march, but this is a good intro for newbies and for anyone else who might want to improve their skating skills.......hell we all could. You cant play hockey unless you know how to skate.

I am attaching the flyer and anyone who wants to contact her with questions can do so via email.

Captains/ players please pass this on. We all probably have a friend that asked us about playing hockey, and this should be a good start for those people looking to enter the sport.
