With a heavy heart I am here to say we lost a good friend today.
Sunday Sept. 24th at about 2pm the Beck family and Sooner Pearl began to
say goodbye to Bill Biles.
Most here in Oklahoma didn't know Bill as he (and Jimmy Becks) mother
(Georgia Beck) just moved to Oklahoma a short time ago. Since moving
here Bill and Georgia both have been very important volunteers for
Sooner Pearl. Bill has been our private 4-wheeler mechanic and had
donated countless hours of his time working on our old worn out
4-wheeler. After several had failed Bill made the beast come back to
life, if only for a short time. He had once again taken the beast home
to repair it for us again.
Today was the last time Bill had a chance to help us. At about 2pm in
Cresent it seems there was an accident which took Bill from our plane of
earthly existence.
Master mechanic. Master carpenter, Bill your soft spoken and strong
hands will surely be missed. It will take time to fill the hole left in
the Beck Family today.
I know I will miss talking to him and his New York accent will be sorely
missed at Sooner Pearl as well. When I left their home Saturday evening
Bill walked me to the door, as we walked through the garage I told him
how much we appreciated his working on our machine then I said take care
and have a good night. Now thinking back I sure hope he did realize just
how much we did appreciate his hard work and I wish I had said
goodbye............
If you have a minute please say a prayer for the Beck Family.
Sooner Pearl will be closed Monday and we will be closed the day of his
funeral out of respect, we will mourn the loss our our friend and
dedicated volunteer.
See you on the other side and don't bend to many nails there in heaven.
Thank you,
Richard Axtell
