A classic! Especially the night (knight?) when the armies were one
member short and everybody had been "killed" except the one last guy
without a 'partner'. To the biggest cheer of the night he "committed
suicide".

Or the never-to-be-forgotten Ashley Hutchins piss take:

Five days long on the lavatory
He tried to shit but he could not wee
But the surface of his underpants was showing some disturbance

Unky Rick (who played at amo's engagement party)

Simon Barrow was to have gone to see Yes at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh next
Thursday but can't make it due to another engagement.

He has kindly donated his ticket to the Gordon Lennon Fund.

It's here

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370289864340&ssPageName=STR\
K:MESELX:IT

with a starting price of only £5

I'm sure some sonsteam contributors have still got a Roger Dean poster somewhere
in the house or walk about singing "Roundabout" at work so why not bid?

(Anyone under about 40 will be mystified by now - don't worry about it!)

Great - thanks.

Willie Cochrane also did Guido proud with a two page article in the Sun today
featuring Scott Chaplain.

Rovers have been very good indeed.

Guido was highly thought of there and several Rovers players will take part.
Rovers chairman Frank Meade will be at the game.

Cheques to Gordon Lennon Memorial Fund.

That was nice of Albion Rovers doing that.

I'll remember that, and I hope everyone else at the club does.

I won't be going to the game as I'll be at Cardiff. However I will donate a
cheque to the fund
when I find out who it's payable to.

I'm not sure how this will cut and paste but here are the players who will be
appearing on Sunday.

Some are injured and will only be part of the squads and the selection will be
subject to change but the majority of these players should appear at some stage
in the match.

Get along to this game and remember Gordon Lennon whilst at the same time
contributing to his memorial fund.

The hospitality tickets at £15 have nearly all gone (be quick!) but ground
tickets are still available at only £5 from DFC and Ryans Pet Centre. Unsold
tickets will be available on Sunday from 12 midday at SHS.

Thanks to Albion Rovers who took 50 tickets for the game.

Well done to Denise who sold 35 at the game on Saturday.

Mrs Robbo here. I agree with all that the handsome Milby (or Milby the Younger)

Hi everybody. My dad has got swine flu and cant make it to Wales this
weekend. I hope I can meet up with his old friend robbo and lovely wife, who I
wish was my mum, she is fantastic, so clever, pretty and interesting to be
with. However I will be clubbing, dancing and partying all weekend, and it
may be better if Graeme stays away. At his age I don't want him getting
stressed,

Young Milby. ( using his dads computer, honest)

On 8 August there was a serious incident at Newcastle Central station
involving Sunderland fans returning from a pre-season friendly at Hearts,
which resulted in 4 fans being hospitalised, 3 with head injuries caused by
police batons and one with injuries caused by dog bites. One of the fans is
still off work with his injuries. No police officers were injured although
Northumbria police say that some police dogs suffered bruising ( and
published a picture of one of them being petted by a WPC)

The versions of the police and the fans about the causes of this incident
are diametrically opposed. The police say that fans off that train arrived
"intent on violence" and attacked the police officers and their dogs. The
fans say that police at the back were pushing them forward whilst those at
the front were pushing them back, leaving them nowhere to go and that the
trouble started when 2 police officers at the front unleashed their dogs
which started biting fans.

The police have so far arrested about 40 fans but all have been bailed and
so far none have been charged with anything.

Sunderland FC have now banned fans because they were arrested. We believe
that the principle of innocent until proved guilty should apply, and also
that anyone banned by a club should have a chance to present their case.
That's just natural justice. If and when any fans are found guilty by a
court of offences of violence, that's a different situation but at the
moment that's not the case, and indications have been given that in many
cases no charges will be laid.

Sunderland fans have launched a petition for the club bans to be lifted and
are asking for support from other clubs fans.

You do not have to make a judgement about what happened on the station and
whether any of those fans acted wrongly. A court will do that in due course
if any of them are charged.

The principle here is that clubs shouldn't ban fans for being arrested,
before they have been found guilty of anything, or had an opportunity to
present their side of the story to either the Club or a court.

Follow the link below to sign the petition. Thanks for your support.

There's a fascinating reply to my blog posting from last weeks game. Jim
Jenkinson who made the comment was at my school and was responsible for me
becoming a Sons fan. If we win against Cowdenbeath on Saturday it equals a
record set in 1892 at St Mirren of five away league victories.

Amazingly Jim has also posted a link to video footage of one of the goalscorers
in the St Mirren game!
