Erm... where to begin on this one? hmm... one meanigful shot on goal,
couple of penalty claims - one of which looked like a certain foul.
Em.. cant really blame match officials, players have to admit fault
even if the did lose to a strange goal. On a positive note the pies
were particuarly tasty and oh yeah, Bonar was awful tonight. Very
disappointed.

He scored a hat trick in Auchinleck's 1992 Scottish Junior Cup final
4-0 victory over Glenafton.

I found a crappy photo of him which I have put in the photos section.

I just thought it was a curious way of describing his target. Anyway great
to get a victory in the cup. This gives us an opportunity to win our first
home Scottish Cup tie against league opposition since February 1979 when we
beat the Bankies courtesy of two Graham Sharp goals (source: D.Carson)

Folks

We have been experiencing waht are termed 'techincal difficulties' with the
DFCsite due to re-point of the domain to the correct hosting company.

In the last few days this has meant that when trying to view the site many
of you will be faced with 'server not responding' type messages.

I'm assured the problem clears itself over time, however meantime if you
can't view the site immediately, press your ctrl key together with the your
refresh icon in your browser several times and this should do the trick.

Apologies for the frustration this causes.

You know I was thinking (no really!). Brian Fairley said at the AGM that he
was targetting a forward. Someone who "has a previous proven goalscoring
record at this level" Who could it be?

Everybody knows Paddy was a c*nt, no need to single out these guys.
Especially Billy, who never has a strong opinion about anyone other
than match officials.
Actually there's a common link there, neither Paddy nor linesmen know
their offside from their backside :-)

The article, in full, is below. It reads like it has been written by
an illiterate 12-year-old. I miss a lot of things about Scotland –
the Daily Record isn't one of them!

NEIL LENNON joins a long lost of players who have endured abuse in
Scotland. Whether it's religion, haircut, face or inability to go
through a game without a fight, footballers have been getting stick
for years.
Here are 10 more players supporters loved to hate.
WILLIE MILLER RARELY has such a revered figure in Scottish football
been so barracked by fans. Reason: Because he was so good. The
Aberdeen legend took dogs' abuse at every ground.
PAUL GASCOIGNE A FLAWED genius whose off-field escapades - of which
there were many - made him a hate figure for everyone outside Ibrox.
DAVE BOWMAN ONCE owned a florists but was no softy. Bowman's tough
attitude led to a huge number of bookings and opposing fans gave him
pelters for it.
DARREN JACKSON DAZZA was mouthy and narky, two traits which do not go
down well with fans who always let Jackson know what they thought of
him.
KENNY BLACK WHETHER it was the mullet or the way he could very rarely
be slightly late in the tackle, there was never a game when he didn't
get verbally abused.
PETER GRANT EASILY one of the nicest people off the pitch but on it
he moaned like the missus after you had come home five hours late. It
wasn't just the Rangers fan who didn't like Pedro, it was everyone.
CHIC CHARNLEY HAD almost as many rows with fans as he did referees.
Easy to wind up and everybody tried it.
PADDY FLANNERY ASK any fan of lower-league clubs who their least
favourite player was and almost everyone will pick Paddy.
The former Dumbarton striker seemed to revel in the abuse, nearly as
much as the ones who dished it out.
PAOLO DI CANIO WHINED, screamed abuse at referees and slagged players
through the media - and that was before he pushed referee Paul
Alcott. Even detractors could not disagree that he was brilliant with
the ball.
GORDON STRACHAN OFTEN viewed as a wee annoying so-and-so who always
had a word to say about everyone else and wound up everyone around
him.

In a feature in the Daily Retard today (as part of the Neil Lennon "story" -
shock! horror! the Old Firm fans are sectarian! goodness!) The 10 "Most
Hated" players are listed. Two former Sons are there. At number 7 perhaps
unsurprisingly is Chic Charnley but at number 8 (Ahead of Paulo Di Canio and
Gordon Strachan) is one Patrick Flannery Esq.!!!!

One other thing - another postponement on Saturday will see us travel
to Cowdung on Tuesday night.

Good to know what you're doing and when, isn't it?

And if the Cowden game is postponed again, we'll still be trying to get it
played at Central Park.

Great Fun.

   Folks,

As you will see on the website fixture list, I've been informed by
Graeme that the Alloa match has been scheduled for a week tomorrow
night (Tuesday the 30th) at 7:30pm.

However, if we draw with Cowdung, the replay will take place that
   night instead.

The key to this is:

"We as a club lost heavily from catering supplies which had to be
destroyed."

By calling an early inspection it makes it easier for the ref. to call the
game off. By leaving it late, Cowden probably were hedging their bets (not
to mention 30 lunches and 300 pies) on the ref giving the ok due to the late
hour. I can tell you that Fairley gave a quote to the press to the effect
that the pitch was unplayable. Maybe D.F.C. will complain but probably not.
Glass houses and stones spring to mind.
