"The History of the Football Association" was published by the
Naldrett Press for the Football Association in 1953. No author is
quoted on the title page, but it was written by Geoffrey Green.
It is a substantial volume of 692 pages, well illustrated. It is
recommended for any student of the English game. As well as many
match line-ups it contains an authoritative account of the
development of the laws of the game, quoting minute books that no
longer seem to be available at the FA.
