I wonder if anyone can please help me. I recently bought some
old "Athletic News/Sunday Chronicle/Empire News/News of the World
Football Annuals. Among them was the 1939/40 Edition (Athletic News)
and the 1946/47 Edition (Sunday Chronicle). I'm wondering if the
Annual was published during the war years (both First and Second World
Wars). The 1939/40 Edition says 53rd year (not 53rd Edition), while
the 1946/47 Edition says 60th year (not 60th Edition). However, the
1936/37 Edition says 50th Edition, which would seem to suggest that it
was published during the First World War at least. Can anyone help?
Thanks. I have 49 editions in total, and would like to know how many
are missing.
