I am researching the mascots that appeared in the 1960s after World Cup
Willie, and particularly club mascots that appeared on merchandising
during the period up to the early 1970s. If anyone can help with names
and other details (particularly of those that were short lasting) I'd
be grateful. Some of the lesser known ones include Robbie Robin
(Bristol City) and Charlie Canary (Norwich), but I am sure there are
many more that I have yet to trace. Also interested to know whether the
Derby Ram had a name and if the Magpie that appears on the cover of the
Notts County programme around this time was used more widely on
merchandise (and had a name as well).
