I don't know what the record is but Coventry City played seven consecutive away games in February/March 1977. The Highfield Rd pitch was not in good shape and only one league game was played there between 27.12.76 and 2.4.77. City lost five of the seven away games and slid from a mid-table position to being favourites to be relegated at one stage. Fortunately a draw in their final game with Bristol City kept both teams up and relegated Sunderland who lost at Everton on the same night.
