The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) website provides England Amateur line-ups between 1 November 1906 (a 15:0 away win versus France) and 5 May 1910 (a 1:2 defeat away to Denmark).
It is available at this link: http://www.iffhs.de/?c003e8f0a3ccdc42ec70a61534cd413ccdc07ccac5bb05
And then select England Amateurs in the 1901-1910 drop down box.
If the link doesn't work, then go to www.iffhs.de and select Full Internationals and then in the menu select All official full "A" internationals which will take you to the screen mentioned above.
I'm not sure whether James McCree would have played in any of these to be honest - and I don't know if (and when) they will be updated with later matches.

Steve

Is there an online resource for these? I can only get the match dates

I'm looking for the details of a James McCree, who played for London
Caledonians and Brentford in the mid-1920s.
