Mark
The only details I have are the ones I've given I'm afraid.
The Everton programmes didn't provide any specific match reports.
You could possibly get in touch with the Local Records Office at the Liverpool Central Library. They have a complete archive of past local newspapers (The Liverpool Echo, The Liverpool Daily Post and the Football Echo). They will gladly retrieve the information for you, but at a cost (naturally!). The Football Echo would have had a report on the day (11 October) whilst the Post and the Echo would have gotten their reports out on the Monday after (13 October). Try this link for contatc details (

If you get the chance, I believe that the British Library should also have a copy of these papers as well.
Regards
Steve

Steve,
You must be a mind readr, because I was just about to mail you!
I'm sorry to be a pain, but do you have any access to a match report
or details from an Everton programme?
I've tried newspapers in the Loftus Road locality and have only been
able to obtain brief match details so far.
Yours in hope.
Mark
